Network Engineer Location: Worcester / Home Based Permanent Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (+ excellent benefits including Local Government Pension Scheme) Skills: Cisco Routing & Switching, Firewalls, VPN, Load Balancing, Web Proxies We are looking to recruit a Network Engineer for a technology driven public sector organisation. As a Network Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in my client's Network Team, ensuring seamless operations and delivering exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include providing top-tier technical support to both internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the continuous enhancement of my client's ICT services, specialist applications, and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain a high standard of ICT service delivery. Provide expert-level technical support across various network infrastructure components, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and web proxies. Utilise your expertise in security principles to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of my client's network systems. Offer local supervision and guidance to colleagues when necessary, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance my client's network infrastructure and services.Essential Skills: Proficiency in routing and switching technologies. Extensive experience with enterprise firewalls and VPN solutions. Strong understanding of load balancing techniques and web proxies. Expertise in implementing remote access solutions and adhering to security best practices.Desirable Skills: Familiarity with Citrix NetScaler/ADC and Zscaler platforms. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as Microsoft Azure. Experience with virtualization technologies like VMWare and Hyper-V. Understanding of Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SDWAN) concepts
