Mobile / FrontEnd Engineer

Android / Frontend Developer Edinburgh Hybrid working FPSG seek a motivated and skilled Android / Frontend Engineer to join a rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in delivering complex, scalable, innovative Applications and services. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your React Native, Java and Android SDK skills will impact the success of the platform. In the Mobile / Frontend Developer role responsibilities will include: Design develop and release the Android version of the MVP app from the ground up. Drive collaboration and engagement with Front End, Product and other Business colleagues to deliver intuitive and engaging user interfaces. Influence the design, build and maintenance of existing and new features, ensuring functionality, usability, security and performance across devices. Drive integration with backend APIs to deliver dynamic and responsive features. Drive best practices, promoting innovation, following mobile, UI/UX standards. Showing the flexibility to regularly move from troubleshooting to innovation, from optimising to strategising as the company and platform continues to scale. Contribute to future production design processes To be a Mobile / Frontend Developer you will need demonstrable experience of: A proven track record in mobile development, building and launching Android applications. Extensive experience in Android development frameworks / languages React Native, Java. Excellent knowledge across frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3. Familiarity of working with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services. Advanced knowledge in mobile apps UI/UX principles. Familiarity with collaborative Agile methodologies, Git and CI/CD pipelines. Advanced Android SDK, development, app analytics, performance optimisation and testing. Highly desirable to have prior exposure to social media platform engagement. Desirable to have some experience with iOS, Swift and/or cross-platform tools, Flutter. **Please note where hybrid working is encouraged the ability to "get together" regularly means that living in an easily commutable distance from Edinburgh is desired.
