As an Atlassian Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation gets the most out of the Atlassian suite. You'll be responsible for maintaining a highly available, reliable, and secure Back End infrastructure, facilitating seamless upgrades, and providing expert guidance to users and business stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Managing the Atlassian infrastructure: Overseeing Back End operations, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
- Leading upgrades: Spearheading the upgrade of Atlassian Data Centre products and plug-ins, collaborating closely with specialists.
- Building and upgrading environments: Creating a replica of Production in DEV and conducting upgrades in a controlled manner.
- Maintaining critical processes: Implementing patching, backup, and recovery procedures for the Atlassian infrastructure.
- Configuring resilient systems: Setting up a Data Centre instance in Staging to support a load-balanced and distributed environment.
- Supporting business needs: Assisting teams in creating Jira projects and Confluence spaces, and customising workflows, fields, and configurations.
- Optimising workflows: Identifying opportunities to improve Jira process efficiency and finding creative solutions to user requests.
- Data-driven insights: Developing insightful dashboards and reports using metrics and filters in Jira.
- Managing add-ons and integrations: Overseeing all add-ons and ensuring seamless integration with other tools.
- Knowledge sharing: Providing user and JIRA Admin training and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
To excel in this role, you'll possess:
- Solid experience: Demonstrated expertise in Atlassian Data Centre administration, configuration, and support for Jira and Confluence.
- Upgrade expertise: Proven track record of successfully upgrading Data Centre configurations and building resilient infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge: Deep understanding of Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence, including workflows, permissions, and notification schemes.
- Problem-solving prowess: Ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Automation expertise: Skills to build integrations, automate tasks, and manage data migration and reporting processes.
- Customer support experience: Familiarity with providing technical support in a fast-paced environment.
