Data/ETL Engineer 3 months London / hybrid remote working £660 per day inside IR35 Key skills required: Ab Initio / SQL / Python / Bash / PLSQL / Oracle Leading consultancy embarking on a digital transformation for financial services end client are seeing a highly skilled Data/ETL Engineer with extensive experience in Ab Initio, Bash, Python, PSQL, and Oracle. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data integration, transformation, and loading processes, along with excellent problem-solving skills. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to support data infrastructure and analytics needs. Key Responsibilities for the position of Data/ETL Engineer * Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Ab Initio. * Write and maintain scripts in Bash and Python for data manipulation and automation. * Develop and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading in PSQL and Oracle databases. * Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. * Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity. * Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure high-quality data. * Document ETL processes, data flows, and technical specifications. * Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data engineering and ETL. Required Skills and Experience for the position of Data/ETL Engineer * Ab Initio: Extensive experience in designing and developing ETL processes using Ab Initio. * Bash: Proficiency in writing and debugging Bash scripts for automation and data manipulation. * Python: Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation tasks. * PSQL: Experience with PostgreSQL, including writing complex SQL queries and performance tuning. * Oracle: Proficiency in Oracle databases, including PL/SQL and database management. * Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. * Data Integration: Experience in data integration, data warehousing, and data migration projects. * Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git. * Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
