IT Support Technician (1st & 2nd Line Support) Location: Bournemouth Salary: £25,000 -£30,000 (DOE) Hours: Monday - Friday (phone number removed)pm Our client is an expanding IT company transitioning into a Managed Service Provider (MSP). As they continue to grow, they are looking for a proactive and innovative IT Support Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting their growth, providing essential first and second-line support to clients. You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of applications, services, and hardware, while working with clients across diverse industries in a dynamic and fast-paced technical environment. Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Technician (1st & 2nd Line Support): Deliver first and second-line technical support to a diverse range of clients. Diagnose and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and overall IT infrastructure. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems. Assist with network troubleshooting, including cable management and testing. Work closely with the team to ensure seamless service delivery and successful project execution. Requirements of the IT Support Technician (1st & 2nd Line Support): A valid DBS clearance Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration and service deployment, including SharePoint, security, and Azure. Being physically capable of moving equipment manually if needed. Strong network and cable management skills, including patching, tracing, and testing. Hands-on experience with PowerShell and scripting for automation and administrative tasks. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to both clients and colleagues. Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. Self-motivated, able to take initiative and manage tasks independently. Skilled in prioritising tasks and effectively handling issues in a fast-paced environment. Hold a full Clean UK driving licence (or legal UK driving eligibility). Capable of working both independently and collaboratively. Positive, proactive attitude with a passion for IT support.
