You will ensure that the websites align with our brand identity and meet the needs of our users. Your role will involve design and front-end development tasks, providing a seamless user experience across all devices. Key Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain visually appealing and responsive WordPress websites. * Create and implement WordPress themes and plugins. * Ensure WordPress site content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives. * Implement and refine website designs. * Customise and enhance WordPress themes and plugins. * Optimise WordPress sites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices. * Conduct regular updates, backups, and maintenance of WordPress sites to ensure security and functionality * Stay up-to-date with web design trends, tools, and technologies. * Conduct user research and testing to gather feedback and improve website design and functionality. * Manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Experience and Skills Essential • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field. • Proven experience as a WordPress Web Designer or Developer. • Extensive experience with WordPress, including theme and plugin development. • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices within the WordPress ecosystem. • Creation of commercial websites using WordPress. • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices. • Excellent visual design skills with a strong portfolio of previous work. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Desirable • Extensive experience with WordPress CMS, including custom theme and plugin development. • Familiarity with web design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar. • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Experience with responsive and adaptive design. • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress. • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation. • Basic knowledge of server-side languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby. • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
