IT and Field Support Engineer Southampton, Hampshire Field Support, Installation, Troubleshooting, Support Salary circa £30,000 - £35,000 plus benefitsWe are seeking an IT Support / Field Support Engineer to join a rapidly growing business within the leisure and tourism attraction industry working with some large well-known brands. My client have been in the industry for the last 20+ years and they provide world class photography solutions and services to visitor attractions across the UK and globe. Clients include footballs stadiums, theme parks, zoos, museums, exhibitions and well as seasonal attractions. This is an IT Support / Field Support Engineer role where you will help with installation and troubleshooting a wide range of IT and hardware along with bespoke software within the leisure industry. The position involves regular travel to various sites across the UK with some international travel in Europe and the USA. An adaptable and flexible approach to travelling and working hours is essential. Main duties: Build, configure, install and support bespoke software and solutions Upgrade and service existing systems Support photography users, both clients and colleagues through various communication channels Additional requirements as may reasonably be expectedRequired skills: Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Proficiency in various operating systems especially Windows, Linux and MacOS Experience with routers, switches, firewalls and other network devices Installation, configuration of servers, desktops, laptops Programming knowledge (eg PHP, Python, Powershell, C#, JavaScript) Familiar with Apache and MySQL databases Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to prioritize skills Full UK driving licenceMy client are able to offer an attractive salary with benefits including career progression, onsite parking.
