Key Responsibilities: SSRS Development: Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports to support various business needs. This includes creating complex, high-quality, and user-friendly reports that meet business requirements. SQL Database Management: Write, deploy, and maintain SQL code for database updates, optimizations, and integrity checks. Ensure databases are running efficiently and are well-structured to support data accuracy and performance. Experience with Postgresql and SQL Server with strong emphasis on SQL programming and performance tuning Project Support: Play a crucial role in the ongoing major projects, including the upgrade of our Alpha system and the transition from Power BI to SSRS. This transition aims to enhance database cleanliness and report writing efficiency. Power BI to SSRS Transition: Lead the transition process from Power BI to SSRS, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Provide support and training to users during the transition phase. Database Updates and Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain databases to ensure they meet current business needs and performance standards. This includes monitoring database performance and implementing improvements as necessary. Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Document all processes and updates thoroughly for future reference and compliance purposes. Required Skills and Experience: Extensive SSRS Experience: Proven track record of working extensively with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) in a professional environment. Strong SQL Skills: Advanced knowledge of SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Power BI Experience: Hands-on experience with Power BI, particularly in report development and data visualization. Understanding of the differences between Power BI and SSRS and the ability to manage the transition between the two. Database Management: Experience in database deployment, maintenance, and updates. A strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data and reporting issues. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
