Job title: Senior Airworthiness Engineer

Salary: £47,683 - £52,426 (Commensurate with skills and experience)
What you'll be doing:
- Independent airworthiness assurance activity of design certification (qualification and safety) evidence in support of airworthiness certification for Development, Production and Export clearance programmes
- Airworthiness focal point for agreeing flight limitations with System Design Responsibility teams, Flight Operations and the external customers
- Establishing and producing Flight Certification (Military Permit to Fly) for Development and Production Aircraft
- Establishing and producing Flight Certification (Release to Service) for Export Customers
- Independent airworthiness assurance activity for emergent flight safety issues affecting Development aircraft, resulting in the issue of Flight Safety Procedures (Additional Flight Limitations/ Flight Safety Messages) to Eurofighter Partner Company operators (Italy, Spain, Germany, UK)
- Supporting continuous development of BAE Systems and Eurofighter flight certification and design certification processes
- Supporting and representing Airworthiness at Typhoon project meetings, including support to external customer meetings
Your skills and experiences:
- Aircraft Avionic and Mechanical systems design and Aerodynamic disciplines
- Design configuration control processes
- Design certification (qualification and safety) and Airworthiness processes
- Aircraft operations
- Analytical methods to support establishing integrated aircraft level flight limitations

The Typhoon Initial Airworthiness (Flight Certification) Team:
The team covers current and future aircraft development activities assuring the type airworthiness of the product and its release into service across all customers.
