Security Engineer (SC Cleared) - £450 per day via Umbrella - short term contract - London (on-site) - SCC Flex Contract
We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer who will be responsible for managing and optimizing our security infrastructure, specifically with the Blue Coat AV system, and ensuring seamless data flow across our external gateways.
Your responsibilities as the Security Engineer:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on the Blue Coat S400-A1 AV device, focusing on large file processing.
- Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operation and integration of security solutions.
- Optimize settings and configurations to improve data transfer efficiency across security devices and gateways.
- Conduct regular testing to identify, reproduce, and resolve potential vulnerabilities and performance issues.
As a successful Security Engineer, you will have:
- Strong understanding of Blue Coat AV devices and network security principles.
- Active Security Clearance
- Proven ability to resolve issues involving large file transfers and data processing.
- Experience with similar enterprise security gateways or network filtering solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to document and communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
