Key Responsibilities
Drive the social value timeline: Prevent further slippage and ensure timely delivery of commitments.
Lead the Social Value Working Group: Set up, manage, and guide the group to support social value initiatives.
Manage charity partners: Ensure successful selection, engagement, and delivery of objectives with charity partners.
Manage social value delivery in our supply chain: Define a process for agreeing committments, managing and delivering on these.
Create and maintain materials: Lead in producing social value-related materials (eg, articles, policies, frameworks).
Negotiate and influence: Engage with teams across the organisation to ensure deliverables are met.
Accountability: Hold others accountable when delivery is delayed or commitments are unmet.
Reporting: Regularly report progress and updates to the board of directors and the ESG committee.
Skills and Competencies
Roll my sleeves up attitude: Comfortable taking the lead in creating or updating essential materials (articles, process documents, policies)
Influential relationships: Ability to influence and collaborate across various levels within the organisation.
Project management: Ability to manage complex timelines and dependencies, ensuring all deliverables are met.
Stakeholder management: Proven experience managing external stakeholders.
Operational business analysis/process management: Ability to create processes, identify gaps in ways of working, and drive business change.
Leadership: Capable of leading cross-functional groups and motivating them to deliver social value outcomes.
Accountability: Able to hold individuals and teams to account when delays or issues arise.
Reporting and governance: Comfortable with reporting on social value metrics to senior stakeholders and participating in governance structures like the ESG committee.
