Job Requirements / Description

Global Technology client within the land/property sector now requires an SRE to ensure the reliability of their services (PaaS) ensuring they meet performance and uptime requirements of their users.

This is a pivotal role, providing ongoing management and running of our clients Azure environments, ensuring standards are met across the whole spectrum (security, cloud footprint, misconfiguration).

The Role:

  • Defining reliability metrics with product stakeholders.
  • Provide a technical input on all of our client's technical architecture ensuring tangible improvements.
  • Conduct reporting based on agreed reliability metrics.
  • Ensure platform hygiene and misconfiguration is maintained.
  • Conduct independent research/investigations into external tech, practices and methodologies to suggest enhancements to current architecture.

Key requirements:

  • Extensive, proven commercial experience ensuring the reliability of PaaS, IaaS or SaaS services.
  • Strong experience running production workloads in Azure.
  • Strong Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with Cosmos DB. (Essential).
  • Strong experience in Web application support.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

This fantastic opportunity provides a base salary of up to £75,000 plus excellent benefits.

In terms of working structure, this is primarily remote with occasional travel to our clients Reading or Exeter office.
