Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer for a 3-6 month contract role inside IR35. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting VMware Cloud Foundation solutions, working with secure environments that require SC clearance.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled engineer to be involved in critical projects, ensuring smooth deployment and management of VMware cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective integration of VMware Cloud Foundation with existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
- Configure and maintain vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vRealize components.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure integration with security and networking infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide resolution.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations are in place.
- Document processes, architectures, and changes to configurations.
- Conduct assessments and recommend improvements to existing cloud environments.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and security protocols.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Active SC Clearance is mandatory.
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and related components (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vRealize).
- In-depth understanding of cloud architectures and multi-cloud integration.
- Solid experience in designing and managing large-scale virtualized environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking and storage concepts in VMware environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues.
- Experience with automation tools (eg, Ansible, Terraform).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, secure environment.
