Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Python Rust Web3) Remote UK to £115k

You could be joining an early stage start-up building a cross chain liquidity platform to revolutionise capital efficiency and permissionless access to liquidity on-chain to build sustainable decentralised markets; they have secure backing and a recent round of funding is enabling them to scale.
As a Backend Software Engineer you'll join a small technology team, working with Python and Rust on the core platform, building low latency and highly parallelised systems with a focus on the data layer. You'll be tackling complex problems and building highly scalable systems to accommodate large data and traffic volumes whilst maintaining extremely low latencies.
Location / WFH:
There's a remote first policy so you can work from home the majority of the time, with the caveat you'll join the team for three, one week meet-ups per year (global destinations, the last one was in Thailand).
About you:
- You have experience of building low latency, parallel services in Python on Linux (and ideally also Rust, although you can pick this up on the job)
- You have experience of building highly scalable systems designed scale to large data and traffic volumes whilst maintaining extremely low latencies
- You have experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying services
- You have a strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals and mechanics of the EVM
- You have a strong record of academic achievement in Computer Science
- You're collaborative with experience of collaborating with remote, geographically dispersed colleagues
