Software Engineer - Global Commodities Firm - Package + Bonus

Cititec Talent is excited to partner with a leading global commodities firm, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer. In this dynamic role, you'll play a crucial part in developing cutting-edge software platforms and innovative cloud-based big data solutions. You'll collaborate closely with the global engineering team, including the trading division, to drive impactful solutions in a Real Time environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop robust software components, frameworks, and micro-services that power global trading systems
• Build and maintain cloud-native big data platforms and Real Time data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Design scalable infrastructure and shared services for Data & Analytics applications
• Implement Agile methodologies and best practices in SDLC for efficient, high-quality software delivery
• Apply domain-driven design to automate business processes and solve complex technical challenges
• Architect and implement distributed systems and micro-services to support seamless global operations

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in the Commodities sector, ideally with exposure to Front Office operations
• Hands-on expertise with Python and/or Java programming languages
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with AWS services
• Solid understanding of object databases and NoSQL
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

This is a London-based role with 4 days in the office, and 1 working from home.
