DV Test Specialist

Required : Test Specialist Location : full time on site in Basingstoke Duration : 6 Months + Clearance level : DV Required skills: Manual / Automated testing to include: Non-functional, Functional and End-to-End Testing for Application, Infrastructure, Hardware and Regression Can ensure all testable requirements (functional, non-functional, derived) are identified captured in a RCTM/ VVCM and are suitable for verification & validation Production of Test artefacts including but not limited to Test Plans, Manual Test Scripts, Test Reports, Defect Management and Reporting Execution of both Manual and Automated Test Scripts Requirements Management Clear understanding of multiple delivery methodologies such as Agile, V-Model & Waterfall Provide day-to-day support to the Programme and Project Managers to deliver the required testing Ability to work in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent at building strong working relationships with peers and colleagues ISTQB qualification at Foundation Level or above Willingness and flexibility to travel to customer sites for Site Acceptance Tests/ Deployments into the Live estate Experience Knowledge/ experience of testing solutions in secure (clamped) environments and controls defined by standards such as JSP440, JSP604 etc. Ideally some experience of "legacy" operating systems and aged software versions, potentially with experience of obsolescent/ obsolete hardware platforms* Demonstrable understanding of the Software Development and Testing Life Cycles Experience of all phases of testing, including but not limited to Unit, Integration, System, Regression, FAT, SAT, UAT, WST Demonstrable Experience of Agile or Waterfall solution delivery Demonstrable knowledge of Configuration/ Change/ Release management principles Demonstrable Knowledge of version control systems like Subversion. Demonstrable troubleshooting skills and approach to defect resolution Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply.
