Software Technical Lead
Southampton w/ remote working 4 days per week
Salary up to £100k

Technical Lead required to join an expansive engineering department within a well-established company with offices in the Southeast and London. The company are currently going through a substantial growth period and are expanding their software engineering teams.
Within this position you'll support the development and deployment of a range of EPOS and Retail systems by being the technical guide for the team, consulting on design and architecture decisions and resolving any bottle-necks in deployment. This role will still offer hands-on development Leadership position but will be supplemented by experience in leading a development team.
The Technical Lead will implement technical architecture and Agile methodologies within a small team of Software Engineers. You'll also work closely with Engineering Managers and Solution Architects to implement development strategies and will be involved in project planning.
Key responsibilities will include.
Leading an Agile software development team and providing technical guidance on best practice and coding standards
Produce technical design documentation considering functional and non-functional (security, performance, reliability, scalability etc) requirements
Discussing and translating complex technical issues and concepts with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business
Key experience
Prior experience engineering EPOS, E-commerce or Retail software solutions
Service Oriented Architecture and/or Microservice architecture
Technical background in Agile software development & leadership
Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
You'll be working with the following languages and frameworks;
Java Spring
Node.js
Gitlab or similar
CI/CD tools
Fullstack experience with React.js is beneficial but not essential
