Machine Learning Operations Engineer, ML Ops Engineer - 12 months - Hybrid/London
This role is inside IR35, market rate quotes welcome.
This is a hybrid role which requires 2 days per week on site in London (Zone 2/3)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Operations Engineer with technical, hands-on experience of working with Azure, Python and Scala. This is a 12-month contract position where you will play a key role in supporting our client's data science efforts, ensuring seamless integration and operationalisation of machine learning models. You will work closely with development teams, data scientists, and non-technical stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of ML-driven products.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and prioritise multiple tasks and competing demands within the development team, ensuring smooth workflow and addressing interdependencies.
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, helping to define features, refine scope, and prioritise tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify problems, propose solutions, and manage the successful delivery of integrated products.
Continuously assess and improve product development processes, enhancing the teams efficiency and adherence to Agile practices.
Support data scientists by enabling them to focus on model development without concern for the underlying infrastructure.
Provide expertise in machine learning frameworks, ensuring they are optimally developed, deployed, and maintained.
Key Skills Experience:
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, techniques, and frameworks.
Proven experience as an ML Ops Engineer, particularly in implementing ML models using the Azure stack.
Expert in Python and Scala for machine learning applications.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and negotiate scope and priorities.
Experience in improving product development processes, Agile practices, and product strategy.
Ideal Candidate:
You are someone who can effectively balance technical and stakeholder demands, thrive in fast-paced environments, and take ownership of product delivery. Your strong communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills will enable you to work collaboratively across teams. You will also have a solid background in ML Ops, with hands-on experience in the Azure ecosystem and a passion for refining product development processes.
