Senior Developer/Team Lead - React (Hybrid) The Company: A renowned, family-owned distillery with a long history of producing premium spirits. Role Overview: As a passionate Senior Developer with the appetite and drive to move into leadership, you will be an integral part of their growing development team, creating exceptional user experiences. You will play a pivotal role in driving the design, development, and deployment of their web applications. This role requires a deep understanding of modern web technologies, particularly React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, and DevOps practices. In time, you will also be responsible for building and leading a team of developers, mentoring junior staff, and always ensuring the highest standards of code quality and project delivery. What you will do: Full-Stack Development: Architect and develop high-quality, scalable web applications using React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, and other modern technologies. Lead and Mentor: Guide a talented team of developers, providing leadership, mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. DevOps and Deployment: Oversee the implementation of DevOps practices using platforms like Vercel, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment pipelines. Microservices Architecture: Design and implement microservices to enhance system flexibility, scalability, and maintainability. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Content Management: Leverage Contentful to manage and deliver content across platforms, ensuring seamless integration with the web applications. Project Management: Lead sprint planning, code reviews, and estimation processes, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of projects. Quality Assurance: Work closely with QA engineers to ensure all products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. Continuous Improvement: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, proposing new tools and methods to enhance our development process. Skills and Experience: Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, Contentful, Vercel, and microservices architecture. Leadership: Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers, with strong skills in performance management and development planning. DevOps: Solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience with continuous integration and deployment. Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose innovative solutions to complex challenges. Agile Methodologies: Proficient in agile development practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Strong portfolio of projects demonstrating expertise in the required technologies. Why Join them?
