IT Support Engineer - £20,000 - £25,000 + bonus - Permanent - North Slough We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer with at least one year of IT technical support experience to help maintain, support, and enhance the IT solutions we provide to our customers. In this role, you will deliver high-quality support to users, ensure proper administration of systems, and contribute to the development of existing infrastructure and processes. You should be able to work independently, meet changing deadlines, and adapt to evolving requirements. Reliability, flexibility, and strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills are essential. This position offers the chance to broaden your experience within a dynamic and growing SME where individuals thrive on change. The role is primarily based in the Reading and Slough areas, with occasional travel to neighbouring counties, typically once every one to two weeks. Please ensure you can obtain a clean DBS certificate. Customer-Facing IT Support: Experience in 1st/2nd/3rd line support in a customer-facing role (not call centre) is required. Full UK Driving Licence: The role involves travel between sites in the southeast of England. A driving license and access to a car are required. Broad understanding of IT hardware, Windows, and Mac OS Strong problem-solving skills Experience with Office 365 (O365) Experience with Google Cloud for EducationHighly Desirable: Experience with Group Policy Experience with Virtual Desktops / RDP connections Experience with TCP/IP Protocols Experience with Active Directory / monitoring systems Ability to lift and move heavy equipment such as servers/desktops Implementation and documentation of good practices and processes ITIL Foundation certification ECS card (can be applied for after appointment)This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in IT support within a supportive and innovative environment.
