Job Title: Software Engineer

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the design, development and maintenance of in-house analytical tool, Systems Information Exploitation (SIE)
- Engaging with suppliers, third parties and the wider business to understand and meet various requirements
- Impact across UK and international navies - reducing failure of equipment on warships, reducing breakdowns and costs associated
Your skills and experiences:
- Java 11+ back-end software development, Maven, unit testing
- Analytical thinking or systems thinking mind-set; using evidence to make decisions
- Experience of integrating to other systems
- Experience of continuous integration system
- Experience of collaborating in larger team with disparate skills
- Degree qualified and/ or relevant experience

The Digital Engineering team:
By collecting and evaluating platform data, information may be given to operators, maintainers, support personnel, and the industry as a whole to enable better decision-making that will increase platform availability. Chartered engineers, data scientists, systems administrators, and software engineers make up the field of digital engineering. The SIE project makes it possible to perform data analysis and contemporary machine learning methods both on and off complicated warships.
