JOB TITLE: Integration Test Manager INDUSTRY: WMS / Warehouse Automation SALARY: £65,000 - £70,000, Company Vehicle / Car Allowance equivalent + more benefits LOCATION: Hybrid - Northern Home Counties / Midlands JOB SUMMARY * To own and ensure the delivery of all testing aspects required to provide an Integrated Automation Project to our customers on time to the project schedule. * To ensure all testing carried out guarantees we meet our contractual testing obligations. * To ensure all testing carried out demonstrates the solution performance * To ensure all safety testing is completed as part of the solution delivery Key Responsibilities * Work with our solutions team in the development of contractual test requirements for an Automated warehouse proposal * On order launch, develop the testing plan for the delivery of the automated warehouse solution. Include all testing requirements, software and hardware, internal and external. Ensure the plan is executable and communicated to all relevant stakeholders and represents the operational requirements of the customer. Manage the execution of the plan and retain ownership for ensuring it is carried out and support the continuation of contract performance during the early life phase of the solution. * Ensure that the testing scripts are suitable and sufficient to meet contractual requirements for testing and customer requirements for appropriate functionality of the integrated solution and that they are agreed with the customer. * To proactively contribute to appropriate internal and external meetings and events to ensure alignment with the test requirements of sub-suppliers, internal deliverables and contractual deliverables. * To ensure any non-compliances raised within any aspect of testing during the project are adequately recorded and closed out. * To carry out, or ensure that all appropriate testing activities are completed; including, but not limited to: 1. Supplier Quality Checks 2. Supplier Factory Acceptance Tests 3. Customer Acceptance Tests 4. Software BETA testing 5. Hardware Nodal Test 6. Equipment Safety Tests 7. Sub-System Testing (Either internal or external supplier systems) 8. Software FATs 9. Customer UATs 10. Contractual Performance Tests (Handover and post-handover) * To support technical designers, by providing test data as a tool to aid solution development throughout the project. * Proactively support the wider team to ensure we can deliver our contractual and quality commitments. * To work with the customer in the execution of contractual tests and ensure items raised relating to testing are closed off, working at the customer site during the project as required to ensure tests are completed: note; this would mean working away in the UK. * To Manage the Integration Test engineers as their direct line manager, ensuring they are motivated, safe and developed accordingly. * To monitor system performance after customer take-over to ensure that any post-takeover contractual performance tests will be passed. * To lead continuous improvement initiatives with respect to testing of Automated solutions, including the development of test tools to support pre or post sale activities. Education and Skills * Graduate Level education in a technical discipline (Engineering, Software, Quality Management, Compliance) * Able to understand and interpret technical data. * Able to communicate in the most appropriate way for the target audience – verbal, written, in person, via Teams etc. * Has worked within the Automated Warehouse industry and had exposure to WMS/WCS technology.
