Cyber Security Analyst Required fully Remote £45k to £55k per annum… Principal IT are delighted to be exclusively representing one of our fastest growing clients to help them secure the services of a Cyber Security Analyst to join them on a permanent basis. As a Cyber security analyst you will be a crucial part of the IT Services and security team, focusing on supporting the organisation's cybersecurity posture. This role provides a learning platform for individuals eager to develop their cybersecurity skills, working alongside senior security professionals to monitor, analyse, and respond to potential security threats. Essential Skills IT Security Fundamentals: A strong foundation in IT security concepts, including knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and basic encryption techniques. Cloud Security (Azure, AWS): Familiarity with cloud security best practices and services, focusing on Azure and AWS environments. SIEM Solutions: Exposure to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools like Splunk or Azure Sentinel, including log analysis and incident response. ISMS and ITIL Frameworks: Working knowledge of Information Security Management Systems and ITIL frameworks for managing and improving security operations. Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong ability to analyse security data and communicate findings effectively within the team.Responsibilities Monitoring security alerts and incidents across both cloud and on-premises environments. Assisting senior security staff with incident management and response activities. Supporting the maintenance of the security incident management process and ensuring timely updates. Analysing logs and alerts to identify potential indicators of compromise. Contributing to security documentation, including knowledgebase articles and playbooks. Participating in security meetings and ongoing training sessions to enhance knowledge.Package As a Cyber Security analyst you will be offered a basic salary of between £45k to £55k per annum 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and many other corporate benefits.
