Desktop Support Technician

It Desktop Technician Hull Based £30k to £35k DOE An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an IT Desktop Support Engineer to join our busy IT team. Working across a broad range of technologies and liaising with multiple departments across the business providing support for incidents, problems and requests. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our forward-thinking IT team, undertaking certified and onpremise training covering numerous systems and software. Key responsibilities (but not limited to); Build and install PC's and peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, mobiles, tablets related to desktop infrastructure and in accordance with IT policies and standards Maintain PC's and peripheral devices with Planned Preventative Maintenance Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, networking and peripheral technology Responsible for the update of the IT Helpdesk ticketing system by maintaining accurate records in respect of actions taken, histories and updating information on the system as and when required Create tickets to record technical issues and solutions, escalating issues to senior team members when necessary Responsible for the ongoing patch and vulnerability management of many of the company devices Continually adding to the knowledge database to ensure all technical documentation is fully up to date and relevant Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment Create strong working relationships with key stakeholdersPersonal skill requirement; Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Techncial Support or similar Good language and communication skills Certifications in Microsoft/Comptia/ITIL and cisco would be advantageous Familiarity with Office 365, Network troubleshooting and MS Intune Excellent problem solving and multitasking skills Strong experience of working with Microsoft Windows OS with some experience of Android/iOS Ability to work as part of a teamWe can offer; Excellent rates of pay Strong commitment to progression and personal development Profit sharing through discounted share scheme Hassle free auto-enrolment into company pension scheme Access to our 'Feed your Wellbeing' platform Free on-site parking If you are interested and meet the above criteria, please send your CV to (url removed) or call the Commercial team on (phone number removed) if you have any queries.
