An opportunity has arisen for an IT Site Engineer to join the IT department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. About the role To provide day-to-day site IT support for physical and virtual infrastructure as well as some 1st & 2nd line sys-admin functions for site users. What you will do: Provide day-to-day site IT support. Support, maintain and renew physical infrastructure at the Fortescue Zero Kidlington Building 5 facility as directed by the Operations and Infrastructure Manager or other senior IT representatives/IT management team. Including, but not limited to, edge & core switches, firewalls, wi-fi, on-site datacentre hosts, SAN, NAS etc Provide end-user support for physical and virtual infrastructure (laptops, peripherals, AD/AAD, M365, phones etc) Support site AV equipment and work with facilities teams to support associated services such as BMS, access control systems and CCTV as required. Support central IT teams supporting Service Delivery, Ops & Infrastructure and Applications teams by owning & resolving incident and service request tickets related to site issues or other non-site specific issues/requests when capacity allows. Build, configure and issue end-user devices as required. Carry out IT staff inductions for new starters to the Kidlington Building 5 facility. Act as a point of escalation for site IT issues escalating these to the relevant IT team members, IT Management Team or Head of IT. Low-level IT application support as required/directed by the Applications Team manager/members. Identify opportunities for rationalisations and savings where possible. Support Incident/Major Incident Management processes as required. Due to the nature of this role some out of hours and weekend work may be required Other ad-hoc duties as required. Ability to travel to Banbury manufacturing facility and cover site engineer duties at this site when required About you: Experience in a similar/IT related role – Essential Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including some of the following vendor technologies: Cisco, Dell, Pure, IBM, Paolo Alto, FortiGate, Crowdstrike, VMware, Microsoft, M365, Meraki, Android, iOS, MS Dynamics 365, Siemens etc - Essential Strong problem solving and analytical skills – Essential. Excellent communication & teamwork skills – Essential.
