Test Analyst

Job Title: Software Test Analyst Location: Stoke Gifford 2 to 3 days on site per week Compensation: £400 per day via umbrella company Length: 6 months initially ***CANDIDATES MUST HOLD OR BE ELIGIBLE TO UNDERGO SC CLEARANCE*** Overall Department Direction The business provides information management services and solutions to maximise the utility of data and provide decision making insight across the asset and service lifecycle, within the Defence sector for the purpose of providing through life engineering support of complex maritime assets. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Tester to support the clients IT applications to ensure timely software deliveries and quality assurance. The role Day to day, you'll be predominantly supporting the test function spanning Oracle, .Net and Appian technologies and customer portfolio. Analyse requirements and Design documents to prepare test estimates, documentation including test plan, detailed test cases and scripts covering both functional and non-functional requirements. Execute tests, taking evidence and detailed notes as appropriate. Produce, maintain and communicate the Test Level progress reports and completion reports Ensure delivery of the various areas of Systems Test such as Functional vs. Non-Functional testing. Determine how to implement the various stages of test, e.g. Systems Test, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, etc. during the project lifecycle Create opportunities to increases efficiency, consistency, and value of testing. Co-ordinate scoping and coverage discussions between Systems Test & UAT. Utilize test tools such as Test Rail, Azure DevOps, and Selenium for test execution. Provide support of the testing the complex solutions including working with other Test Analysts, Business Analysts, Developers, and the Test Lead closely with good communication skills. Essential experience of the Software Test Analyst: Software Application Test Analyst with significant experience in functional and non-functional testing, with the ability to interact with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and other Testers. Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with Test Rails, Azure DevOps Defect Management SQL skills Experience with API Testing, Backend Testing, Performance Testing and associated Tools is desirable. Experience with Automation Testing e.g. Selenium is desirable Qualifications for the Software Test Analyst: ISTQB Test Analyst Foundation certification is required. ISTQB® Advanced Level Test Analyst certification is desirable
