Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud)

Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud) needed by my well known client. Due to a major infrastructure upgrade, my client is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with solid Azure experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive individual, able to foster strong relationships across all levels of the business. Reporting into the Head of IT Strategy & Architecture, the ideal candidate would bring their own experience and knowledge to the team gained across multiple industries over a healthy period. Some of the responsibilities expected of the role are: Creating and leading IT system integration projects to meet the organisation’s objectives * Conducting regular evaluations of the system architecture and collaborating with departments to improve efficiencies * Evaluating project constraints and devising alternatives to reduce risks, avoid costs, and realise savings * Keeping stakeholders updated regarding the status of the project development and budgets. Highlights issues immediately as and when they arise * Analysing and identifying impacts of technical changes which may affect the business and communicating them in a clear and concise manner * Performing continuous research on emerging technologies to stay updated with latest trends and standards, and identifying opportunities within the organisation to implement for increased efficiency * Assisting the Head of Strategy & Architecture with the development of the IT Strategy * Provide technical assistance, advice and training to users on various software applications and tools, to design and deliver solutions across the business * Contribute to successful delivery of IT Services across the airport including Incident, Change and Problem Management * Collaborating with internal teams, a large 3rd party supplier network, and key stakeholders is key to the success of the role, in order to effectively contribute to a comprehensive vision enabling the growth of the airport underpinned by the IT strategy. It is therefore imperative the individual is adept and comfortable at establishing and fostering relationships with both internal departments, and external vendors, whilst also continually maintaining them throughout the course of their tenure * Maintaining a clear understanding of the wider software application suite, underlying platforms, and available toolsets * Assist with information security risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities * Assist with Improving and implementing existing IT and information security policies, standards, and guidelines * Assist with the managing of the information security risk register * Monitor, evaluate, and report on risk mitigation efforts * Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and risk management frameworks * Identify and classify vulnerabilities based on risk level and potential impact * Collaborate with T&T team and the SOC analysts to prioritise remediation efforts * Communicate with stakeholders and business partners to define a plan of remediation and resolution * Participate in information security incident efforts and table-top exercises Assist in improving our incident response plan Key Skills * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and at all levels of the business * Hands on technical experience and knowledge of Microsoft technologies, architecture, design and deployment * Awareness of cyber security frameworks, technologies and best practices Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, SDA * Solid experience with Cloud Technologies e.g. Azure administration as a priority, and an understanding of Cloud Native technologies * Proven experience in support, including installation, configuration and maintenance of computer hardware, software and peripherals to Endpoint devices, Laptops, printers etc. * Due to the fast nature of the business the ability to react quickly to business demands and roll up their sleeves is a necessity * Must have a service delivery mindset, with user experience and service at the forefront Practical working knowledge of the ITIL Framework
