IT Support Specialist

IT Support Analyst – 12 month FTC  We are looking for an IT Support Analyst with experience of Windows and Linux environments with VMware.  The role will be providing 2nd and 3rd line support across the business covering 2 sites with strong troubleshooting experience across multi-platform environments.  Required Skills: Troubleshooting ability– someone who enjoys the technical challenge and finding resolutions to complex problems. Experience providing support including installation / configuration, upgrading and troubleshooting both in person and remotely. Strong knowledge of virtualisation – VMWare. SQL, being confident troubleshooting SQL performance issues – SQL Server. Strong background in Windows and ideally some Linux/Unix OS’s including supporting numerous Applications on mixed Windows / Linux Server platforms. Some Linux / Unix Systems Administration (Redhat, Centos) highly desirable. Advanced Networking / Infrastructure Troubleshooting and Diagnostics – DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls Good understanding / operational experience of ITIL methodology with any certifications beneficial. Ability work well under pressure in an exciting technological environment
