Mechanical Workshop Supervisor

Our established and growing client are looking for a Mechanical Workshop Supervisor to join their team in Horsham in a really interesting sector. You will be supervising 2 mechanical workshop engineers.

Monday to Friday - 38 hour week - Salary £35000 plus good benefits - parking available.

They are looking for a candidate who is experienced in working in a workshop, has supervisory experience, is the "Go To" person for advice on parts/ assembly and enjoys disassembly, repair and new build work and can read technical diagrams. This is a hands on role.

Responsibilities

For Repair Items

• Perform a preliminary inspection of incoming components for repair.
• Disassemble components for repair assessment and identification.
• Determine material to be used in repair process
• Carry out repairs in accordance to repair instructions and component maintenance manuals
• Carry out functional testing - Hydraulic, Pneumatic etc.
• Assemble components post repair / overhaul.

  For New Build

  • Assess material to be used in build process.
  • Build items to controlling documents/ samples.
  • Test to confirm conformity.
  • Complete all necessary build reports and other documentation as required.
    • Identify improvements process.
    • Ensure adherence of 5S process for daily operations.
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly data reporting.
    • Carry out Reduce to Produce activities.
    • Management of calibration process, in accordance with quality standards
    • Weekly reporting on job list
    • Complete applicable reports relating to repair and new build processes.
    • Monthly and quarterly updates on projects and objectives. #LI-PB1
