Field Engineering Manager - Temp to perm - London/Hertfordshire
The Field Engineer Manager will lead a team of onsite IT technicians delivering End User Compute (EUC) support to a variety of customers in London, the Home Counties, and occasionally other regional locations. The role involves managing team performance, ensuring adherence to processes, and maintaining high-quality service delivery. Additionally, the role requires strong project management skills to identify and deliver service improvements. The Field Engineer Manager will also be responsible for recruitment, retention, and development of team members, ensuring the team meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and exceeds customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of engineers - including all aspects of performance management.
- Manage budget/P&L to maintain spend in line with budgetary limitations.
- Ensure all systems and processes (ie timesheets, absence, etc.) are used in an appropriate and timely manner by engineers.
- Involvement in the recruitment and induction of all engineers.
- Initiate and run all Appraisals carried out with the engineers on an annual basis with quarterly reviews.
- Authorisation of travel and expenses, with effective cost control.
