Physical Safety & Security Technical Consultant

Key Duties & Responsibilities * * Provide technical support to Sales to design solutions. * Technical design authority (TDA) for all projects in line with the core focus areas. * Responsible for generating low level design and equipment configuration templates. * Develop test plan and specification for projects. * Provide Professional Services Consultancy days, working with clients. * Technical interface with relevant vendors and partners * Assist, mentor and develop the safety and security engineering team. * Deliver training and briefing sessions on solutions to the safety and security engineering team. Key Accountabilities * * Produce comprehensive technical designs ensuring all elements meet the client’s specification. * Ensure all designs are fully documented to support project delivery. * Ensure site Health and Safety compliance and escalate any immediate issues to line management. * Provide high levels of customer service and ensure the company is always represented professionally. Qualifications For development purposes the following knowledge, skills and experience are required. Experience: * Previous experience in a customer facing consultant role or equivalent with an excellent understanding of Safety and Security products and technologies (e.g., Bosch, Dahau, Hikvision, Gent, Advanced, Gallagher, PAC, Win-Pak, Veracity, Milestone, Genetec). * 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, or supporting complex integrated security systems. * In-Depth technical understanding of the below technologies. Candidates that do not have all the below or are at lower levels of certification are still welcome to apply as technology training would be provided. * Experience with Enterprise Grade VMS systems such as Milestone, Genetec, IndigoVision, Pelco, Avigilon * Experience with Enterprise Grade Access Control such as Gallagher, Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel * Experience in integrating large security systems into one single pane of glass. * Experience in designing LLD for engineering team to follow. * Microsoft Operating systems administration Certifications/Qualifications * Ideally qualified to diploma level * Cisco CCNA minimum or equivalent (Routing and Switching) * Genetec and Gallagher certification an advantage * DBS clearance (for working in public sector environments) * NPPV3 clearance for work in the emergency services sector * Full UK driving licence.
