Lead Analytics Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Analytics Engineer for one of our public sector clients.
Rate: up to £600 per day
Duration: 6 months
Inside IR35
Location: Hybrid, London

As a Lead Analytics Engineer you will have:

Essential

• Excellent SQL and jinja skills
• Experience of using dbt, including implementing dbt best practices
• Experience of leading, enabling and supporting a team of analytics engineers, guiding them to apply best practices
• Experience of working with data users to develop understanding of data and its relation to business processes
• Experience of ensuring practices are up to date with latest developments in analytics engineering
• Experience of reviewing, designing and developing conceptual, logical and physical dimensional models following Kimball principles
• Experience of ensuring that data documentation is aligned with user requirements
• Experience of engaging and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Desirable

• Experience of programming in Python
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS
• Experience of building dashboards or data applications
• Experience of building CI/CD workflows, ideally with GitHub Actions
