Lead Business Analyst
One of IT Bods leading clients is seeking a positive, proactive Lead Business Analyst to guide, manage, and mentor a newly formed team of talented Business Analysts.
This is a unique opportunity to establish a core business analyst capability and build a highly respected team in a prestigious University in the North West of England
Key Responsibilities
Develop working standards and processes for the team, including documenting business process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements
Influence and motivate team members to deliver high performance against objectives and deliverables
Ensure risks associated with Design, Build, and Change Request approaches are clearly documented with mitigating actions
Conduct quality assurance and peer reviews of the team's work
Support development, testing, training, and business change activities throughout the project or product/service improvement lifecycle
Major Duties
Work with Design & Build teams to develop team standards and processes
Influence and motivate team members to deliver high performance
Document and mitigate risks associated with agreed approaches
Conduct quality assurance and peer reviews
Support various activities throughout the project lifecycle
Required Experience, Skills & Abilities
You must possess:
Degree level education or equivalent professional experience in business analysis
Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., BCS, APMG)
Extensive experience leading a business analyst team in a large, complex IT department
Proven track record of establishing Business Analyst capability from scratch
Experience aligning IT strategy with business goals
Ability to establish and lead a high-performing team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service focus
History of personal development in business analysis
Desirable
Knowledge of IT landscape in Higher Education
Successful completion of leadership and management development training
