Join our dynamic team as a Senior Systems Engineer, a pivotal role within our System Engineering team. You'll be instrumental in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the technical systems and infrastructure for both our customer-facing and corporate services (OSS).
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver continuous incremental improvement of systems and infrastructure.
Take end-to-end ownership and responsibility of technical solutions.
Engineer solutions to complex challenges and business requests.
Deliver on shared team priorities.
Coach and mentor team members, fostering their success.
Act as a technical escalation point
Document processes comprehensively to ensure team clarity.
Drive tasks forward with energy and enthusiasm.Essential Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a commercial environment supporting the following:
Expert in Linux Administration.
Application support (e.g., PostgreSQL, Radius, DNS).
Scripting experience (ideally Python and/or PowerShell).
AWS (CloudFormation, Route53, S3, Lambda, Security, and troubleshooting).
Automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Git).
Strong troubleshooting and diagnosis skills.
Network and firewall knowledge.
Familiarity with VMware and/or OpenStack.
Experience with backup and replication technologies (ideally Veeam and Zerto).
Structured change management and ITIL knowledge.Desirable Skills:
Experience with common applications such as Apache, MSSQL, Postgres.
Networking (TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN, VLANs, IPv6).
Kubernetes and deployment pipelines.
Exposure to public and private cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Familiarity with standards including ISO9001, ISO27001.
Previous experience in a Telecoms business.
Comfortable with a Kanban workload management approach.
