Network Architect

Principle Network Architect Location: Merseyside Salary: Up to 100k Khuda Technology is working with an international Managed Service Provider (MSP) to find a highly skilled Principal Network Architect to lead the design, architecture, and optimisation of enterprise network infrastructures. This is a key role, driving the future of the company’s network capabilities to meet evolving business demands and industry best practices. Responsibilities: * Lead the design and architecture of enterprise networks, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls, Zscaler (unified network), and cloud networks, ensuring they meet business objectives. * Evaluate emerging network technologies to identify opportunities for improving performance, scalability, and innovation. * Establish and enforce network architecture standards and best practices to maintain consistency, scalability, and security across the infrastructure. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated network solutions aligned with organizational goals. * Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, performance issues, and compliance risks in network design. * Evaluate network hardware, software, and service providers to ensure cost-effective, high-quality solutions. * Implement seamless network architecture changes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. * Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and architecture decisions, and establish governance processes for reviewing and approving changes. * Provide guidance and mentorship to network engineering teams, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration. Skillset: * Proven experience in designing and architecting large-scale enterprise networks, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, Zscaler, and cloud networks. * Strong understanding of emerging network technologies and the ability to evaluate and integrate new solutions. * Expertise in network security, risk management, and compliance. * Experience in vendor management and negotiation. * Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to mentor and lead engineering teams.
