IT Network Manager - London (N22) - on-site - circa £45,000 plus package

We are seeking a highly skilled, dynamic IT Network Manager to oversee and manage my client's network infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, secure network systems to ensure they meet the operational needs. Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy network solutions to support operation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain the network infrastructure, including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Monitor and optimise network performance for high availability.
  • Identify and resolve network issues to minimise disruptions.
  • Develop and enforce comprehensive network security policies.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Implement Firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including network administrators and support staff.
  • Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers.
  • Evaluate and recommend network products and services.
  • Plan and oversee network-related projects, including upgrades and new implementations.

Experience/skills required:

  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPv6).
  • Experience with network security practices and technologies.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022, Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365 Defender, and Azure.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, macOS, Jamf, Linux (Redhat & Ubuntu), DNS, WiFi 6E, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Proven experience in managing and leading a technical team.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
