Purpose of the job As an Associate Product Owner, you will help to drive the development team by owning one or more product backlogs, building close relationships with business stake-holders to help you understand users’ needs, gather requirements and prioritise delivery. You will receive support and mentorship from the other Product Owners in the team and will be given more responsibilities for larger and more business-critical products as you grow into the role. Key Accountability & Responsibilities Own the requirements backlog for agreed list of products Gather requirements, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria Refine the backlog over time and prioritise Stakeholder management Clear communication with team and stakeholders Agree release composition with stakeholders Writing business cases where required Assist team in decomposing User Stories into tasks Report on progress of work through team Launch products to customers, ensuring effective training Ensure quality of team documentation Champion best practice and Agile methods Knowledge & Skills Required Running requirement gathering, scoping, or other project related workshops Good interpersonal and communication skills Experience in building positive stakeholder/customer relationships Previous exposure to defining or refining business tools, systems, or processes Competent in using a variety of business systems, including word processing, spreadsheets etc. Nice to have Previous work in Agile environment Experience in analysis and problem-solving Subject matter expertise in an aspect of fibre network delivery Exposure to JIRA and Confluence would be a plus Experience of different Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban, XP etc CSPO or similar Experience of working closely with developers, testers and business stakeholders Managing prioritisation across several stakeholders Qualifications & Accreditations Degree level of education or equivalent experience
