Capita have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Delivery Manager to join us during an exciting period of growth. The Delivery manager is responsible for leading the delivery of software projects.

The delivery management function provides the departments software project management capability, and the purpose of the role is to ensure that all assigned projects are led, planned and tracked appropriately. The role does not have any line management responsibility but requires excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills.

*The successful candidate must be eligible for SC clearance*

What you'll be doing:

- Taking full responsibility for bringing computer software applications, computer products to market by managing project team members and their schedules

- Managing dependencies across teams under his purview

- Ensuring that effective project monitoring and control processes, change control, risk management and quality processes are employed and maintained.

- Evaluating team member performance

- Implementing team member training and relevant skill certifications as needed 

- Managing project milestones 

- Resource forecasting and controlling attrition

- Promoting career development and performance.

- Managing the expectations of key project stakeholders.

- Continuous Improvement on software development processes

- Escalation Point of Contact at project level

- Program level planning

- Ensuring appropriate and effective governance arrangements and comprehensive reporting and communication policies are in place and followed

What we're looking for:

- Proven experience in project or programme management experience.

- Experience in different project management methodologies (e.g.Agile, PRINCE2)

- Excellent communication and influencing skills.

- Strong leadership skills, encompassing demonstrable emotional intelligence.

- Experience in developing and implementing project governance processes.

- A systematic and analytical approach to problem solving.

- Excellent presentation skills.

- Attitudes and behaviours consistent with Capita's values.
