DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer Initially 3-6 Months Hybrid – 2 Days a week in Knutsford   Job Description: As a DevOps Engineer in the Infrastructure and Integration epic, you will collaborate closely with the clients colleagues to design, build, and deploy platform components. These components are intended to support product teams, enabling them to work more effectively and efficiently.   Your role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including: Building Declarative Pipelines: Develop and maintain pipelines for building, testing, and deploying workloads using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform, Helm, and Chef to provision and configure Kubernetes and OpenShift services. Containerisation: Implement and manage containerisation technologies to streamline the deployment process. Monitoring and Logging: Utilise monitoring and logging tools to ensure system reliability and performance. Agile Methodologies: Embrace and contribute to Agile methodologies and practises to enhance team collaboration and project delivery.  Required Experience: Demonstrated experience in building declarative pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) Proficiency in using Infrastructure as Code for provisioning and configuring Kubernetes and OpenShift services (Terraform, Helm, Chef, etc.) Knowledge of containerisation technology Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools Understanding of Agile methodologies and practises
