IT Support Engineer About us: Vocosa IT offers a wide range of services that include the installation and maintenance of IT, AV and CCTV solutions in a variety of settings including private business and education. Vocosa offers support across England and Wales and provides 1st, 2nd & 3rd frontline IT support for users across all systems. About the position as a IT Support Engineer: Vocosa has an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer who can evidence 1 year or more IT Technical support experience to help maintain, support and enhance the IT solutions we supply our customers. To be successful in this role you will need: * To provide high quality support to our users, ensure that our systems are properly administered, and develop existing infrastructure and processes. * You should be able to work independently and be flexible to changing deadlines. * Reliability and adaptability are vital for this dynamic role together with exceptional interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. * This is a chance to broaden your existing experience within an organisation where individuals thrive on change and to work within an innovative and growing SME. The role is based in the Reading and Slough areas but travel once every one to two weeks to neighbouring counties will be required. Criteria for Candidates * Self-motivated * Resourcefulness * Professional attitude and a strong work ethic * Ability to work in fast moving environment * Good time management and organisational skills * Ability to think ahead and pre-empt problems and issues * Value and deliver quality service * Open and friendly communication style Skills and Experience as a IT Support Engineer Essential: * Full UK Driving Licence * A broad understanding of IT hardware, Windows and Mac OS * Strong problem-solving skills * Experience in O365 * Experience in Google cloud for Education Highly Desirable: * Experience in Group Policy * Experience in Virtual Desktops / RDP connections * Experience in TCP / IP Protocols * Experience in Active Directory / monitoring systems * Ability to lift and move heavy equipment such as servers / Desktops * Implementation and documentation of good practice and processes * ITIL Foundation * ECS card (can be applied for after the candidate is appointed) Enhanced DBS and Security clearance checks will be carried out.
