This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-campus University working across multi-disciplinary teams within both our Infrastructure and security portfolios and beyond.   You will have the opportunity to contribute to technology solution design and implementation, complex problem resolution and ongoing service enhancement in relation to the University’s entire infrastructure technology stack, which includes computing, storage, backup, DR and virtualisation.   You will collaborate closely with other key stakeholders within the Digital Services Directorate and beyond to explore, design, and deliver solutions, thereby significantly contributing to the University’s current and future key infrastructure requirements. Join us and benefit from a role that not only challenges you but also compensates you competitively.   - ABOUT YOU - - Degree or postgraduate qualification in an Information Technology, Computer Science related discipline or demonstrate appropriate level and range of professional experience - Expertise in deploying, managing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure technologies and hosted environments - Demonstrable operational experience in the design, implementation, and management of two of the following: - Automation Technologies (Ansible / Puppet / Chef) - Hyperconverged Infrastructure (VMware vSAN) - Data Protection and Recovery Technologies - Storage Architectures (SAN/NAS/vSAN) - Containerisation, Orchestration, CI/CD (Kubernetes / Docker / Jenkins) - High Performance Computing - Experience in the deployment, development, maintenance, and support of Linux enterprise server platforms - Evidence of having performed proactive performance monitoring, analysis, alerting, reporting, tuning, and utilising appropriate enterprise level tools and techniques Ulster University holds a Silver Athena SWAN Award in recognition of our commitment to advancing Gender equality.
