Devonshire Hayes have partnered with a London based client to help them secure a Salesforce DevOps Engineer on an initial contract up until the end of March 2025 (extensions likely). Key responsibilities: - Development and deployment: Develop and deploy technical solutions on the Salesforce Service Cloud platform. - Release management: Oversee the release process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating deployments. - Continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD): Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines. - Version control: Manage and maintain version control systems, ensuring proper branching, merging, and tagging strategies are followed. - Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for all development work. - Security: Maintain the security and integrity of the Salesforce Service Cloud platform. Skills and Competencies: - Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, and Apex code. - Experience with Salesforce deployment tools (e.g., Azure DevOps (Preferred), Azure Pipelines (Preferred), Azure Repos (Preferred), SonarQube, Azure Test Plans (Preferred), Gearset, Salesforce DX, Change Sets, ANT Migration Tool). - Experience setting up development orgs and data seeding (OwnBackup) - Experience with Branching Strategy tools (e.g., Github, Bitbucket) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for Salesforce. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus. You will be required to work from the office 1 day per week and this role has been deemed to fall inside of IR35
